The landowner of the forestry land at Mease Meadows has advised the Parish Council that the paths through the forest can be used by the public but without dogs. Access is via the farm entrance off Lullington Road, where there is a small parking area. There will be no access from Mill Lane. Please do not climb over fences or bring dogs. This is permissive access on private land, local people are welcome to enjoy the wildlife but please act responsibly. There will be a 6 month trial of these arrangements.
The Parish Council has organised two defibrillators for the village to be used to assist anyone suffering from a heart attack. One device purchased by the Parish Council has been installed at the front of the Village Hall, the second one is now located outside Meadow View, opposite the Black Horse.
Please first call 999 to be given a code to open the cabinet. Full instructions will be spoken by the device explaining how to use it until an ambulance arrives.
A second defibrillator has been donated by the British Heart Foundation and will be located by the Black Horse soon. To give as many people as possible the confidence to use a defibrillator, training sessions will take place soon in Edingale.
You may never need it, but you could save a life!
Edingale village hall is run as a charity and by volunteers, if you can spare 1 hour to help at any event, can make cakes or donate a prize/contribution - please contact Louise on 383044.
